Dear _________________,

Can you believe it is already March? Our school board elections are April 9th -- right around the corner! After interviewing an outstanding group of applicants, the Lake Bluff School Caucus is excited to introduce our slate.

Christine Letchinger (District 65): An educator who is active in her community, Chris has lived in Lake Bluff for over 25 years. She hopes to build trust among the board, the schools and the community.

Rich Hegg (District 65): A resident of Lake Bluff/Lake Forest for over 35 years, Rich is a business owner whose parents were both teachers and has a grandchild entering the district soon. His ongoing commitment to education to bring new families to the area remains his focus.

John Marozsan (District 65): A former science teacher, CEO and Library Board Member, John represent the 77% of citizens in Lake Bluff without children in the district. His main goal is high academics with fiscal accountability.

Julie Gottshall (District 65): A resident of Lake Bluff for 12 years, with two children in the district, Julie is active in the community, serves on the Library Board and is a partner in a law firm. She is dedicated to a strong educational program that challenges all students.

Todd Burgener (District 115): Todd's background in finance and his previous experience make him an asset to the board. He plans to support the new Superintendent to ensure quality education at LFHS.

These candidates represent a great cross-section of our community. A school board should hear all voices in the community and look at issues from many perspectives. Our candidates have backgrounds in education, law, business and finance and are active in the Lake Bluff community. They are excited about serving on the school board and talking with people about ways to improve our schools!

The school board election is on April 9, 2013. Early voting begins March 25 at Lake Forest City Hall, 2nd Floor, 220 E Deerpath, M-F 9-4:30pm, Saturday 9-2pm. To vote by mail, request an application starting 2/28 by calling 847-377-2406 or emailing VotingbyMail@lakecountyil.gov

This is a contested election, which makes it even more important that you know the issues and the names of our candidates. We appreciate your support.
